Ezekiel 12 (vv. 1-4)

Ezekiel receives the word of the LORD while living among a rebellious people who have eyes and ears but refuse to perceive. In full daylight, before the watching community, he gathers a small bundle of belongings as if preparing for forced exile. The act is deliberately public and unsettling, turning his ordinary household items into a prophetic sign that judgment is approaching.
