Description
The cherubim rise from the ground, and the wheels move in perfect union with them because the same spirit is in them. Then the glory of the LORD departs from the temple threshold and comes to rest above the cherubim as they ascend and stop at the entrance of the east gate of the LORD's house. The scene is both majestic and tragic: the divine glory is still present, but it is leaving the sanctuary that had been defiled.
