Description
Above the heads of the living creatures stretches a vault sparkling like crystal. Beneath it, the roar of wings is like rushing waters and an army in tumult, but then the creatures stand still and lower their wings as a voice comes from above. Over the vault appears a throne like lapis lazuli, and upon it a humanlike figure radiating fire and glowing metal, surrounded by brilliant light like a rainbow in the clouds. Confronted with the likeness of the glory of the LORD, Ezekiel falls facedown and listens.

생물들의 머리 위에는 수정처럼 빛나는 궁창이 펼쳐져 있다. 그 아래서 날개의 소리는 큰 물소리와 전능자의 음성, 군대의 함성과 같다가, 생물들이 멈추어 날개를 내리자 위에서 음성이 들린다. 궁창 위에는 청옥 같은 보좌가 있고, 그 위에는 사람의 형상 같은 존재가 있으며, 허리 위아래로 불과 달궈진 쇠 같은 광채를 발하고 그 둘레에는 비 오는 날 구름 속 무지개 같은 찬란한 빛이 둘러 있다. 여호와의 영광의 형상을 본 에스겔은 엎드려 그 음성을 듣는다.
