Ezekiel 1 (vv. 6-14)

The four living creatures are revealed in greater detail. Their form is humanlike, yet each bears four faces—human, lion, ox, and eagle—and four wings. Their legs are straight, their feet gleam like burnished bronze, and human hands appear beneath their wings. Fire moves among them like burning coals and torches, and they dart back and forth like lightning, embodying ordered power, holiness, and living motion under the spirit's direction.

네 생물의 모습이 더욱 분명하게 드러난다. 그들의 형상은 사람과 비슷하지만 각각 사람, 사자, 소, 독수리의 네 얼굴과 네 날개를 지니고 있다. 다리는 곧고 발은 빛나는 놋과 같으며, 날개 아래에는 사람의 손이 있다. 그들 사이로 숯불과 횃불 같은 불이 오가고, 그들은 번개처럼 빠르게 왕래하며, 영의 인도 아래 질서 있는 능력과 거룩함, 생동하는 움직임을 드러낸다.
