Exodus 34 (vv. 1-4)

At the LORD's command, Moses prepares two new stone tablets to replace the ones he had broken. In the early morning he ascends Mount Sinai alone, carrying the tablets in his hands, while the mountain remains completely isolated—no person, flock, or herd permitted near it. The scene emphasizes obedience, solitude, and the gravity of restoring the covenant.
