Description
A robe of deep blue is made for the ephod, with a reinforced woven collar and a hem decorated all around with alternating pomegranates of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and small gold bells. The garment is beautiful, but it also carries grave significance: the sound of the bells will announce Aaron’s movement as he ministers in the Holy Place, underscoring the holiness and danger of approaching the LORD.
