Exodus 27 (vv. 1-8)

A central scene focuses on the construction design of the altar of burnt offering. The altar is square, made of acacia wood and overlaid with bronze, with four projecting horns rising from its corners. Around it are the bronze utensils: ash pots, shovels, sprinkling bowls, meat forks, and firepans. A bronze grating with rings is fitted halfway inside the altar, and bronze-covered carrying poles are prepared for transport. The scene captures the sacred craftsmanship and precision of a worship object designed exactly according to the heavenly pattern shown on the mountain.

이 장면은 번제단의 제작 설계에 초점을 맞춘다. 제단은 네모반듯하며 조각목으로 만들어지고 놋으로 입혀져 있고, 네 모퉁이에는 뿔이 하나씩 솟아 있다. 제단 주변에는 재를 담는 통, 부삽, 피 뿌리는 대접, 고기 갈고리, 불 옮기는 그릇 등 놋 기구들이 놓여 있다. 놋 그물은 제단 안쪽 중간 높이에 설치되고, 운반을 위한 놋 입힌 채들도 준비된다. 이 장면은 산 위에서 보여 주신 하늘의 모형대로 정확히 만들어지는 거룩한 예배 기구의 정교함과 신성함을 보여 준다.
