Exodus 16 (vv. 1-3)

The whole Israelite community arrives in the harsh wilderness between Elim and Sinai and begins to complain bitterly against Moses and Aaron. Surrounded by tents, dry ground, and barren hills, the people remember Egypt not as a place of slavery but as a place of full pots and bread, revealing their fear, hunger, and distorted memory. The scene captures a restless crowd on the edge of despair, accusing their leaders of bringing them out to die.
