Description
The Egyptians follow Israel into the sea, but the Lord throws their army into confusion, jams the chariot wheels, and causes them to recognize that he fights for Israel. At God’s command, Moses stretches out his hand again, and at daybreak the waters return. Israel stands safely on the far shore, sees the defeat of Egypt, and responds with reverent fear and renewed trust in the Lord and in Moses.
