Description
God commands Moses to move the people forward and promises to divide the sea. Then the angel of God and the pillar of cloud shift from the front of Israel to the rear, standing between Israel and Egypt. Throughout the night, the cloud brings darkness to the Egyptians and light to the Israelites, creating a supernatural barrier between the two camps.
