Description
Mordecai leaves the king’s presence clothed in blue and white royal garments, wearing a large gold crown and a purple robe of fine linen. The city of Susa erupts in celebration, and throughout every province the Jews experience happiness, joy, gladness, honor, feasting, and public rejoicing. The scene reflects a complete reversal: mourning has become celebration, and fear has given way to dignity and hope.
