Description
The royal secretaries are urgently summoned on the twenty-third day of Sivan. They write Mordecai’s orders to the Jews and to the officials of the 127 provinces from India to Cush, preparing the decree in every script and language. Mordecai writes in the king’s name, the dispatches are sealed with the royal signet ring, and mounted couriers prepare to carry the message across the empire.
