Description
After the procession ends, Mordecai quietly returns to the king’s gate, resuming his place without boasting. Haman, however, rushes home with his head covered in grief and humiliation. In his house he recounts everything to Zeresh his wife and his advisers, who ominously declare that because Mordecai is of Jewish origin, Haman’s downfall has begun and he will not overcome him.
