Ephesians 2 (vv. 19-22)

The final scene presents the church as God’s household and living temple. Diverse believers stand together as if they themselves are becoming part of a rising sacred structure built from fitted stones, with apostles and prophets suggested as the deep foundation and Christ symbolized by the chief cornerstone anchoring the whole building. The architecture grows upward in unity, not as a cold monument but as a living dwelling filled with light. The Spirit’s indwelling is shown through luminous presence within the temple, making the image feel communal, stable, and holy.

마지막 장면은 교회를 하나님의 가족이자 살아 있는 성전으로 보여 준다. 다양한 배경의 신자들이 함께 서 있는데, 마치 그들 자신이 서로 맞추어진 돌이 되어 거룩한 건물로 세워지는 듯한 모습이다. 사도들과 선지자들은 깊은 기초로 암시되고, 그리스도는 전체 건물을 붙드는 머릿돌로 상징된다. 건축물은 차갑고 무정한 기념비가 아니라 빛으로 가득한 살아 있는 거처로 위로 자라난다. 성령의 내주는 성전 내부를 채우는 빛나는 임재로 표현되어, 이 이미지 전체가 공동체성, 견고함, 그리고 거룩함을 느끼게 해야 한다.
