Ephesians 2 (vv. 14-18)

This scene visualizes Christ as peace between hostile groups. Two communities, once divided and suspicious, stand on opposite sides of a massive stone barrier reminiscent of the temple dividing wall, their faces marked by tension and inherited enmity. At the center rises the cross, not in graphic suffering but as the place where hostility dies; the wall is split and falling apart under a burst of light. People from both sides begin stepping forward toward one another, no longer enemies but one new humanity with shared access to the Father through the Spirit.
