Ephesians 2 (vv. 11-13)

This scene captures the movement from alienation to belonging. In the foreground, Gentiles stand at a distance outside the covenant community, separated by physical space and emotional uncertainty, while in the distance the people of Israel and the signs of sacred promise are visible. Then the composition shifts as a crimson thread of redemption, symbolic rather than graphic, leads the far-off strangers toward the holy center. The image should emphasize that those who were once excluded, hopeless, and without God are now being welcomed near through Christ’s sacrificial work.
