Ecclesiastes 4 (vv. 9-12)

In contrast to lonely striving, the Teacher celebrates companionship. Two laborers work together and gain a better reward; when one stumbles, the other lifts him up. Their shared warmth, mutual defense, and the image of a threefold cord together proclaim that human life is strengthened by faithful partnership and community.
