Deuteronomy 6 (vv. 10-12)

Israel is pictured entering the promised land and beholding blessings they did not build or plant: flourishing cities, full houses, deep wells, vineyards, and olive groves. The abundance is striking, yet the scene carries a warning—amid satisfaction and prosperity, they must not forget the LORD who brought them out of slavery in Egypt.

이스라엘이 약속의 땅에 들어가 자신들이 세우지 않은 번성한 성읍과, 채워진 집과, 깊은 우물과, 포도원과 감람나무 동산을 바라보는 장면이다. 풍요는 매우 인상적이지만, 이 장면에는 경고도 함께 담겨 있다. 곧 만족과 번영 가운데서도 애굽의 종살이에서 그들을 이끌어 내신 여호와를 잊지 말아야 한다는 것이다.
