Description
Terrified by the blazing mountain and the living voice from the fire, the tribal leaders and elders come to Moses. They confess that they have seen God’s glory and survived, yet fear that continued exposure to the divine voice will destroy them. In humility and dread, they ask Moses to go near, hear the LORD’s words, and return to tell them what they must obey.
