Deuteronomy 4 (vv. 25-31)

Moses foresees a tragic future in which Israel, after becoming corrupt in the land, is scattered among foreign peoples and left with only a remnant. In exile they are surrounded by lifeless idols of wood and stone, but from that place of distress they seek the LORD with all their heart and soul. The scene turns from judgment to hope, showing that God's mercy still invites return and covenant restoration.
