Description
At the end of harvest, Israel celebrates the Festival of Tabernacles for seven days with complete joy. Temporary booths stand among the gathered produce of threshing floor and winepress, and the whole community rejoices together. The image is one of abundance blessed by God: fruit, grain, family, servants, Levites, foreigners, widows, and orphans all sharing in a festival where joy is not private but communal.
