Deuteronomy 16 (vv. 1-8)

Israel gathers at the chosen sanctuary to keep the Passover in the month of Aviv. As the sun sets, families prepare the sacrifice and roast it, while unleavened bread is set out as a reminder of the hurried departure from Egypt. The scene carries memory and obedience together: no leaven remains, the meal is solemn, and dawn will send the people back to their tents after a night of sacred remembrance.

이스라엘 백성은 아빕월에 유월절을 지키기 위해 여호와께서 택하신 성소에 모인다. 해가 지는 시간에 가족들은 제물을 준비하여 구워 먹고, 급히 애굽을 떠났던 일을 기억하게 하는 무교병을 차려 놓는다. 이 장면은 기억과 순종이 함께 어우러진다. 온 땅에서 누룩은 사라졌고, 식사는 엄숙하게 진행되며, 거룩한 밤의 기념을 마친 뒤 새벽이 오면 사람들은 다시 장막으로 돌아가게 된다.
