Deuteronomy 15 (vv. 1-6)

At the close of the seventh year, an Israelite creditor publicly releases the debts of fellow Israelites. Clay tablets, cords, and written records are set aside as the people gather in a town gate to witness the proclamation. The scene captures the social reversal of mercy over profit: creditors loosening their grip, debtors standing in relief, and the community sensing that obedience to the LORD will bring blessing, abundance, and freedom from oppression.
