Amos 8 (vv. 1-2)

Amos sees a striking prophetic sign: a basket filled with ripe summer fruit. What appears at first to be a peaceful harvest image becomes a message of finality, because the ripeness symbolizes that Israel's time has fully come and judgment can no longer be delayed. The scene should capture both the ordinary beauty of abundance and the ominous weight of divine warning.
