Amos 7 (vv. 1-3)

Amos sees a devastating vision just after the king’s share of the harvest has been taken and the late crops are beginning to grow. A vast swarm of locusts descends over the vulnerable fields, threatening to strip the land bare. In the midst of the disaster, Amos cries out for mercy, pleading that Jacob is too small to survive. The scene captures both the fragility of the nation and the power of prophetic intercession, ending with the Lord relenting from this judgment.
