Amos 6 (vv. 4-6)

This scene captures the luxurious excess of the elite. Nobles recline on ivory-inlaid couches, eating the choicest meats, drinking wine in abundance, making music, and anointing themselves with expensive oils. The atmosphere is rich and indulgent, but the spiritual emptiness is unmistakable: while every table overflows, no one mourns the ruin of Joseph. Their celebration becomes a visual symbol of moral blindness and social indifference.
