Amos 5 (vv. 7, 10-13, 15)

Amos condemns a society where justice has been turned bitter, truth is hated, the poor are burdened, and bribes corrupt the courts. At the city gate, where legal decisions should protect the vulnerable, the innocent are instead silenced while the wealthy dominate proceedings. Yet the prophetic call remains: hate evil, love good, and establish justice. The scene should center on the moral corruption of public life.

아모스는 정의가 쓴 것으로 바뀌고, 진실이 미움을 받으며, 가난한 자가 짓눌리고, 뇌물이 재판을 부패시키는 사회를 고발한다. 약자를 보호해야 할 법적 판결이 이루어지는 성문 앞에서, 무죄한 자들은 오히려 입막음당하고 부유한 자들이 재판을 좌우한다. 그러나 선지자의 외침은 여전히 남아 있다. 악을 미워하고 선을 사랑하며, 성문에서 정의를 세우라는 것이다. 이 장면은 공적 삶의 도덕적 부패를 중심에 두어야 한다.
