On the next day Peter and John are brought before the rulers, elders, and teachers of the law in Jerusalem. Annas, Caiaphas, and members of the high priestly family sit in authority, demanding to know by what power or name the healing was done. Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, answers with fearless clarity: the lame man was healed in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the one they crucified and whom God raised from the dead. He declares Jesus to be the rejected stone that has become the cornerstone and proclaims that salvation is found in no one else. The scene is charged with legal authority, spiritual boldness, and the clash between earthly power and divine truth.
