Acts 3 (vv. 1-3)

Peter and John are going up to the temple at the hour of prayer in the afternoon. At the gate called Beautiful, a man lame from birth is being carried and set down in his usual place to beg from worshipers entering the temple courts. As the two apostles approach, the man looks toward them and asks for money, beginning the moment that will change his life.

오후 기도 시간에 베드로와 요한이 성전으로 올라가고 있다. 아름다운 문이라 불리는 성전 문 앞에는 태어날 때부터 걷지 못한 한 사람이 사람들이 드나드는 곳에 늘 그렇듯 들려와 앉혀져 구걸하고 있다. 두 사도가 가까이 오자 그는 그들을 바라보며 돈을 구하고, 그의 인생을 바꿀 순간이 시작된다.
