Acts 22 (vv. 22-24)

The crowd listens to Paul until he mentions being sent to the Gentiles. At that word, rage breaks loose. Voices rise in a cry that he is unfit to live, cloaks are flung aside, and dust is thrown into the air. The Roman commander, seeing the uproar, orders Paul to be taken into the barracks for interrogation.

군중은 바울이 이방인들에게 보내심을 받았다고 말하기 전까지는 그의 말을 듣고 있었다. 그러나 그 말이 나오자 분노가 폭발한다. 사람들은 그가 살아 있을 자격이 없다고 외치며, 겉옷을 벗어 던지고 먼지를 공중에 날린다. 소요를 본 로마 천부장은 바울을 영내로 데려가 심문하라고 명령한다.
