Description
In response to the counsel of the Jerusalem elders, Paul joins four men in their purification rites. He goes into the temple precincts to give notice regarding the completion of the days of purification and the offerings to be made. The scene is outwardly peaceful and reverent, yet the reader senses approaching danger, since Paul’s act of humility and obedience will soon be misunderstood.
