Description
The jailer falls trembling before Paul and Silas and asks what he must do to be saved. After hearing the word of the Lord, he washes their wounds, and he and all his household are baptized in the night. By morning the magistrates, alarmed to learn that Paul and Silas are Roman citizens, come to appease them; afterward the missionaries go to Lydia’s house, where the believers are encouraged before their departure.
