Acts 10 (vv. 24-33)

When Peter arrives in Caesarea, Cornelius has already gathered relatives and close friends in expectation. As Peter enters the house, Cornelius falls at his feet in reverence, but Peter quickly lifts him up, insisting that he too is only a man. Inside, a large group waits to hear God's message. Peter explains that God has shown him not to call any person impure or unclean, and Cornelius recounts his vision, ending with the powerful declaration that they are all gathered in the presence of God to listen.

베드로가 가이사랴에 도착했을 때, 고넬료는 이미 친척들과 가까운 친구들을 불러 모아 기다리고 있었다. 베드로가 집에 들어서자 고넬료는 경외심으로 그의 발 앞에 엎드리지만, 베드로는 곧 그를 일으켜 세우며 자신도 한 사람일 뿐이라고 말한다. 집 안에는 하나님의 말씀을 듣기 위해 많은 사람이 모여 있다. 베드로는 하나님께서 어떤 사람도 속되거나 부정하다고 하지 말라고 자신에게 보여 주셨다고 말하고, 고넬료는 자신의 환상을 다시 이야기하며 모두가 하나님 앞에서 들을 준비가 되어 있음을 선언한다.
