Acts 10 (vv. 17-23)

As Peter is still trying to understand the vision, the men sent by Cornelius arrive at the gate of Simon's house. The Spirit tells Peter that three men are looking for him and commands him to go with them without hesitation. Peter comes down, identifies himself, hears their report about Cornelius and the angelic instruction, and then does something significant: he invites these Gentile visitors in as guests. The barrier between Jew and Gentile has begun to crack.

베드로가 아직 환상의 뜻을 곰곰이 생각하고 있을 때, 고넬료가 보낸 사람들이 시몬의 집 문 앞에 도착한다. 성령은 세 사람이 그를 찾고 있으니 주저하지 말고 함께 가라고 말씀하신다. 베드로는 아래로 내려와 자신이 그들이 찾는 사람임을 밝히고, 고넬료와 천사의 지시에 대한 이야기를 듣는다. 그리고 중요한 행동을 한다. 그는 이 이방인 방문객들을 손님으로 집 안에 들인다. 유대인과 이방인 사이의 장벽이 무너지기 시작한 것이다.
