Description
At the threshing floor of Nakon, the oxen stumble and the cart lurches. Uzzah instinctively reaches out to steady the ark, but his act is judged as irreverent before the holy presence of God. The celebration stops abruptly as divine wrath breaks out, and Uzzah falls beside the ark. David is shaken and angered, and the place becomes known as Perez Uzzah.
