2 Samuel 6 (vv. 1-5)

David gathers thirty thousand chosen men of Israel and leads them to Baalah in Judah to bring up the ark of God. The ark, associated with the Name of the LORD enthroned between the cherubim, is placed on a new cart from the house of Abinadab on the hill. Uzzah and Ahio guide the cart while David and all Israel celebrate with intense joy, filling the procession with music from harps, lyres, timbrels, sistrums, castanets, and cymbals.

다윗은 이스라엘의 정예 삼만 명을 모아 유다의 바알라로 가서 하나님의 궤를 모셔오려 한다. 그 궤는 그룹 사이에 좌정하신 만군의 여호와의 이름과 연결된 거룩한 상징이다. 언덕 위 아비나답의 집에서 궤를 새 수레에 싣고, 웃사와 아효가 그것을 인도한다. 다윗과 온 이스라엘은 수금과 비파와 소고와 시스트럼과 캐스터넷과 제금으로 힘을 다해 기뻐하며 행렬을 이룬다.
