Description
A plague spreads through Israel, and as the angel stretches out a hand toward Jerusalem, the LORD commands that it is enough. The angel of the LORD stands at the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite. Seeing this, David pleads that he and his house bear the punishment, calling the people sheep who should not suffer for his sin. The scene combines national disaster, divine restraint, and the king’s intercession.
