2 Samuel 23 (vv. 5-7)

David reflects on God’s enduring covenant with his house, a covenant arranged and secured in every part. In contrast to this promise, evil men are compared to thorns cast aside, too dangerous to grasp by hand and destined to be burned where they lie. The scene captures both covenant assurance and the sharp warning of judgment.
