2 Samuel 11 (vv. 26-27)

When Bathsheba hears that Uriah is dead, she mourns for her husband. After the mourning period, David brings her into his house, and she becomes his wife and bears him a son. Yet the chapter ends with a stark judgment: what David had done displeased the LORD. The scene should hold both public resolution and hidden divine disapproval at once.

밧세바는 우리아가 죽었다는 소식을 듣고 남편을 위해 애도한다. 애도 기간이 끝난 뒤 다윗은 그녀를 자신의 집으로 데려와 아내로 삼고, 그녀는 아들을 낳는다. 그러나 이 장은 다윗이 행한 일이 여호와를 displeased하게 했다는 엄중한 선언으로 끝난다. 이 장면은 겉으로는 모든 일이 정리된 듯 보이지만, 그 이면에는 하나님의 불쾌하심이 드리워져 있음을 함께 담아야 한다.
