Description
Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah ride out in their chariots to meet Jehu at the very plot of land that once belonged to Naboth the Jezreelite. When Joram asks whether Jehu comes in peace, Jehu answers that there can be no peace while Jezebel’s idolatry and sorcery remain. Joram turns to flee, but Jehu releases an arrow that strikes him down, and his body is cast onto Naboth’s field in fulfillment of prophetic judgment.
