Description
The people rush out and plunder the abandoned camp, and the city’s famine is suddenly broken just as Elisha had said. Grain is sold cheaply at the gate of Samaria, fulfilling the prophetic word in full. But the officer who mocked the promise is overwhelmed in the crush of the crowd at the gateway, seeing the abundance with his own eyes yet not sharing in it.
