Description
After many years in exile, Jehoiachin is released from prison by Awel-Marduk king of Babylon. He exchanges prison garments for dignified clothing and is given a place of honor above other captive kings, eating regularly at the royal table. In the closing image of the chapter, amid the memory of judgment, a small but luminous sign of mercy and future hope appears.
