2 Kings 23 (vv. 15-20)

At Bethel, Josiah destroys the altar and high place established by Jeroboam, burning and grinding them into powder. He notices tombs on the hillside and has bones brought out and burned on the altar to defile it, fulfilling the ancient word spoken by the man of God. Yet he orders that the prophet’s own tomb remain untouched, creating a scene of judgment mingled with reverence for the true prophetic word.

벧엘에서 요시야는 여로보암이 세운 제단과 산당을 무너뜨리고, 불사른 뒤 가루가 되도록 부숩니다. 그는 언덕에 있는 무덤들을 보고 그 뼈들을 꺼내 제단 위에서 태워 그곳을 더럽히게 하는데, 이는 하나님의 사람이 오래전에 선포한 말씀을 성취하는 행동입니다. 그러나 그는 참된 예언자의 무덤만은 건드리지 말라고 명령하여, 심판 가운데서도 하나님의 말씀에 대한 경외를 드러냅니다.
