2 Kings 21 (vv. 6, 16)

Manasseh’s evil deepens into child sacrifice, occult practices, and widespread bloodshed in Jerusalem. Rather than graphic violence, the scene emphasizes the horror through symbolic fire, fearful faces, ritual shadows, and the sense that the whole city is stained by injustice. Jerusalem is portrayed as spiritually suffocated under the king’s sins.
