Description
Israel suffers under the crushing power of Hazael and Ben-Hadad of Aram because of its ongoing sin. In the midst of national weakness, King Jehoahaz turns to seek the LORD’s favor. The scene captures the contrast between military ruin and divine mercy: a humbled king praying while the land bears the marks of oppression, and hope begins to break through as the LORD hears him and prepares deliverance.
