Description
After receiving Jehu’s command, the leading men of Samaria kill Ahab’s seventy sons and send their heads in baskets to Jezreel. Jehu orders them arranged in two piles at the city gate until morning. At dawn he stands before the people, declaring that these events fulfill the word of the LORD spoken against Ahab’s house.
