2 Corinthians 12 (vv. 1-4)

Paul speaks of a man in Christ who, fourteen years earlier, was suddenly caught up into the third heaven and into paradise. The scene should capture the mystery of the experience: a human figure lifted beyond the earthly realm, surrounded by layers of radiant clouds and celestial light, hearing inexpressible things that cannot be spoken. The emphasis is not on bodily detail but on overwhelming transcendence, wonder, and holy secrecy.
