Description
As Shaphan reads the words of the Law aloud, Josiah is struck with grief and conviction. He tears his robes in repentance and sends his officials to inquire of the LORD through the prophet Huldah. Huldah declares coming judgment on the nation for its unfaithfulness, yet also promises peace to Josiah because his heart was tender and humble before God.
