2 Chronicles 32 (vv. 1-5)

After Sennacherib invades Judah and besieges its fortified cities, Hezekiah recognizes the danger to Jerusalem and acts decisively. He consults with his officials and military leaders, orders the springs outside the city to be blocked, and mobilizes the people to strengthen the city’s defenses. Workers repair broken sections of the wall, raise towers, build an outer wall, reinforce the terraces of the City of David, and produce weapons and shields.
