2 Chronicles 26 (vv. 19-23)

As Uzziah rages before the priests, leprosy breaks out on his forehead, and the priests immediately drive him out of the temple. The final image may show the moment of realization and its aftermath: the king recoiling in shock, the priests recoiling in alarm, and later Uzziah living apart in a separate house while Jotham governs. His once-glorious reign ends in shame, separation, and a burial marked by the memory of his affliction.
